1. Local family owned businesses are more likely to utilize other local businesses such as, restaurants, service providers, and farms.
2. For every $100 you spend at local businesses, $68 will stay in the community.
3. Independent retailers return more than three times as much money per dollar of sales to the community in which they operate than chain competitors.
4. Independent restaurants return more than two times as much money per dollar of sales than national restaurant chains.
5. Small businesses employ 77 million Americans and accounted for 65% of all new jobs over the past 17 years.

Small local businesses are owned and operated by your neighbors. We care about and are invested in the well-being of our community and schools. We are more accountable to our communities and donate more money to non-profit organizations and we leave a smaller carbon footprint then larger companies. There are plenty of ways you can support the small businesses in our community. As a family owned business we can think of no better way to celebrate small business Saturday then to share some of our favorite local businesses.
